STAR WARS - ROGUE SQUADRON
For Windows 7
Screenshots from my computer:
Tested on Windows 7 64-bit.
Install the Glide driver
(The default settings are good.)
Make sure you have the latest Microsoft installer and Visual C.
You can find these in the "Microsoft" directory.
If you are not sure, you can proceed below. If it does not work, come back here and install them.
Use a program like PowerISO or Daemon Tools to mount the file "ROGUE_1_000.ISO".
Here are the instructions when using PowerISO:
Click the MOUNT button. Choose "Mount image to Drive X" (This can be an other letter, not necessarily X)
Browse to the ISO file mentioned above and doubleclick it. That's it. You now will have an extra drive letter in your explorer.
Use Explorer to go to the new drive letter. There you will find all files.
To install the game, double-click "Rogue Squadron 3D.msi"
An installation-screen appears. Use the default options.
The game will be installed to "C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\ROGUE"
(If you want to save your scores/progress you will need administrative priviliges to this directory.)
A new icon "Rogue Squadron" will appear in your start menu. Start it.
First click the button "Hardware Configuration" and choose the video card: Choose the GLide option.
You are now ready.
Click the button "Play Rogue Squadron 3D" to start the game.
The game has some graphics glitches, but it is very playable.
Be sure to check out the Settings in the game for video resolution, keyboard mapping, etc.
It is HIGH TIME LucasArts releases an update or new version of this game!!!
